Dear EXOKNOX users,
Dear persons interested in Functional/Technological Data Management,

we are pleased to inform you that from today the new EXOKNOXhub-version 23.05 is available in our download area. Registered EXOKNOX customers can obtain the software via the usual download portal.

This is what we provide with this release

  1. the EXOKNOXhub software for Windows and Linux (tested for CentOS together with KDE, a Mac-Intel variant is also available on request)
  2. the EXOKNOXfree software for Windows and Linux
  3. accompanying documents for release notes

This is new

IAM connection
EXOKNOX can now be connected to identity and access management systems. This new feature enables user logon via single sign-on.

Generation of sub-component bundles

  • Sub-components for existing bundles can now be created. This is the basis for the “Aggregated Systems” planned for the future.
  • For these subcomponents, the part number of the main bundle plus a freely selectable extension is used as the name for the new part number. Both bundles are already linked in the background, but such links are not yet displayed in the application.
  • Example: A damper lower bushing does not have its own part number because it is permanently integrated in the damper. An elastomeric-bushing-bundle can now be created using the new functionality in the context of the damper part number.

Passing parameters to automation scripts
Automation scripts are now more flexible to use, as users can pass parameters at the time of script invocation.

Data model information on the bundle overview

  • The bundle overview now displays information about the data model variant and the version of the component data model.
  • This extension helps the user to distinguish the different states of component data models present in the system.

General Information
The versioning scheme for the application has been changed and is now composed of the calendar year and the month of the release instead of a three-digit sequence of numbers.
